- Our Centre's mission is to expose male and female population to the knowledge of social, cultural, economic and political hindrances to development at the local, national and international levels, in order to attain peaceful co-existence for sustainable development. This will be achieved by the mobilization and application of relevant skills and competencies toward evidence based policy research in gender and development studies and thus reduce the gap caused by conflict in our daily interactions. - The location of Gender matters/issues is an index to measure development. The continued hues and crisis as occasioned by the deprivation, oppression and exclusion of some humans by others especially in developing nations are undesirable, therefore gender and development practitioners need specialized skills and knowledge in order to bring about gender mainstreaming and ensure national and institutional policies on gender which is needed to bring about equality of humans and reduction of conflict in the communities.
